A Dream Come True

>> Friday, April 17, 2009

I know most of you have probably already seen this, but for those of you who haven't, it's quite an inspiring clip. Remember that old saying, "never judge a book by its cover"? How true it really is.

This is 47 year old Susan Boyle from England. She is unemployed, lives alone with her cat, has never been married, and has never even been kissed. She's had a dream since she was 12...the chance to sing on stage in front of a live audience. So she auditioned for Britain's Got Talent (American Idol here), and was certainly not like the typical characters that audition for a show like this. But she dreamed a dream, and the result was this...

Hey Mellette! Never posted on your blog before, but saw your comment about Susan Boyle, watched the video a couple of days ago, and had to say, this woman is just amazing! I am so glad she took that step and wowed them all! I hope her dream goes far beyond what she imagined!

How wonderful is Miss Susan Boyle..How did she ever go unnoticed.?? When you watch the first part of this video and you see the judges faces all making faces and talking behing their hands and making jokes..How sad is that..!!to think that grown people can be so judgemental over another humen being..They were really left with egg on their faces..how horrible to be like that and think of themselves as so much better then susan..All power to her..I do hope that she is snapped up by someone kind and thoughtfull and is a huge star..as for the judges I hope that they say sorry to her..

Hi, great blog, but just wanted to point out... Susan Boyle is from Scotland, not England. They are two separate countries. This article might help to clear up the difference http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/questions/britain.html
